Dr. Suess is one of the most well-known children’s book authors of all time. From his craftily constructed rhymes to his iconic, engaging characters, he has captured the hearts of children through generations. In honor of his literary achievements, his birthday has been recognized as National Read Across America Day, ensuring his work will continue to inspire the youth of tomorrow for years to come. NEA’s Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2nd – Dr. Suess’s birthday.
